Sharon Ogunleye: Istanbul, Türkiye; Sharon Ogunleye is a television news producer at international TV news channel TRT World in Turkey. She’s worked with the company for more than two years. Her role includes producing outstanding news content. She also uses her excellent production skills and passion for telling stories that shines the spotlight on various aspects of the society to produce packages for the news desk and Africa desk. She previously worked with Thomson Reuters in Lagos Nigeria, her home country where she was in charge of the bureau TV’s content. For more than six years, she successfully ran a team of TV reporters spread across the vast West African country. She produced a daily feed of news and features for the company, operating a camera, writing scripts, editing videos, commissioning powerful visual stories and transmitting live from the field. Sharon has a post-graduate-diploma in Multimedia Journalism from Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria. She was awarded best graduating student in her class. Sharon was honoured in 2015 by Women In Journalism as one of the 50 women changing journalism in Nigeria.
